Ninth WPGA Men’s & Women’s Net Championships

The field is 72 contestants in the Men's Net Championship and 12 in the Women’s Net Championship. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tee. Tee times will begin at 8:00am . Please note the schedule below. The entry fee includes golf, cart fee, lunch, trophies to the winners and golf shop credits . Flights have been filled automatically by Handicap Index based on the September 19th, 2025 revision. All players will compete for the overall Net Championship.

 

Format: 18 holes of Net Stableford Stroke Play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Contestants in the Men’s Championship will compete for the flight championships and the Overall Net Championship. Contestants in the Women’s Net Championship will compete for flight championships and the Overall Net Championship. 

 

Tee Markers: All players in the Men's Net Championship will compete from the WPGA White tee markers (approximately 6,000 yards), and all players in the Women’s Net Championship will play from the WPGA Blue tee markers (approximately 5,056 yards).

 

Practice Rounds: Practice rounds may be scheduled by contacting the Golf Professional Shop at Chartiers Country Club. The Golf Professional is Joe Klinchock.  Practice rounds are available Tuesday the 16th, Thursday the 18th, and Saturday the 20th after 2:00pm. Practice round fee is $80, which is the responsibility of the player. Credit Cards are not excepted and must be a reciprocal charge. 

 

Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is permitted for the championship. Cart fees are included in the entry fee. Caddies are permitted for the Championship.

 

Food: The WPGA provides lunch for players only.  All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

 

Footwear: Model Local Rule G-7 Prohibiting Use of Certain Types of Shoes is in effect. Shoes with traditional spikes or spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal is prohibited.

 

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Pittsburgh area. 

 

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). A pace of play checkpoint system will be in place for the competitionThe Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

 

Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, all players should return immediately to the clubhouse.
 

Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes, repeated.
 

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the Championship.
